My name is Katie

Hello, I’m Katie Lianne Ware, an Early Years and Key Stage One educator, Forest School leader, and founder of KL Ware Education. My work is rooted in a simple belief: every child deserves rich, joyful learning experiences that help them feel confident, curious, and capable.

Over the past decade, I’ve taught and led in diverse school settings across the UK and internationally. My experience spans:

Early Years and KS1 teaching
Year Group and curriculum leadership
Outdoor learning and Forest School development
SEND support and behaviour guidance
Training teachers and supporting early career professionals
Designing high-quality resources for classroom and home learning

My approach blends research-informed practice with real classroom experience, ensuring everything I share is practical, achievable, and grounded in what genuinely works for children.

Online Tutoring

I provide personalised online tutoring for Early Years and Key Stage One learners, focusing on phonics, early reading, writing, and foundational maths skills. Sessions are tailored to each child’s needs, using engaging, interactive approaches that build confidence, fluency and independence.

In a supportive, structured learning environment, I help children make rapid progress while fostering a positive attitude towards learning.

In Person Tutoring

I offer personalised, in-person tutoring for Early Years and Key Stage One learners across London. Sessions are carefully tailored to each child’s needs, focusing on phonics, early reading, writing, foundational maths and overall school readiness.

Alongside general academic support, I also provide specialist preparation for 4+, 5+ and 7+ entrance assessments, helping children develop the key skills, confidence and familiarity needed for successful performance in interviews.

Online Library

Here, I share practical ideas, tips and insights from my work in Early Years, Key Stage One and outdoor learning. My posts focus on real classroom strategies, Forest School inspiration, teaching and learning advice, and simple ways to support children’s development both at school and at home.

Everything I share is rooted in experience, research and a genuine passion for helping children learn, play and thrive. My aim is to offer content that feels useful, encouraging and easy to apply.
